About — Mario Grossenbacher

Mario Grossenbacher is a Zurich based artist and freelancer working in narrative, commercial and documentary film. He graduated in 2026 in the Bachelor of Camera Arts at the Lucerne School of Design, Film and Art.

Whatever project he takes on, he not only strives for the most beautiful images but also the right images for the story, the product, the client. Mario’s work has spanned both fiction projects and non-fiction documentaries - with his stylistic preference often lying somewhere in the middle of these two worlds.

He focuses on camera work in the roles as director of photography, camera operator, camera assistant and gaffer. He has worked with a variety of gear and cameras such as RED (Epic Mysterium X), Sony (FX3, A7CII, A7III), Canon (C200II), Blackmagic (6k, 4k, OG), Lumix (S5II, S1RII, S1II, S9, S5IIX) Nikon, GFM Dolly System, DJI Ronin M.
